Meet the Grooms Team

Executive chef Chris Watson formally Head Chef of the award winning Buttery Restaurant in Glasgow. Chris has participated in charity cooking events in Iceland and Maryland, America raising over £100,000.
He has trained with the Scottish culinary team and competed around the country winning gold medals in London, Glasgow & Birmingham.
Chris spent most of his training at the Auchterarder House Hotel in Perthshire. The hotel won 3AA Rosettes for fine dining & country House Hotel of the year for 2002.


Head Chef Mark Burrows is classically trained in London at prestigious establishments such as London Intercontinental and the Connaught Hotel. He also worked at Clarkes in Kensington for Sally Clarke, Restaurateur before relocating to Scotland.
 Whilst working in the Yes Restaurant as Head Chef of the fine dining, they were nominated for Glasgow’s Restaurant of the year award. 
Mark has participated in various local festivals and local initiatives such as adopt a school programme to promote healthy eating within schools. He brings a wealth of experience from a broad spectrum within the hospitality sector. 



Event Sales & Marketing co-ordinator, Elaine Gilchrist is based in our Trades Hall of Glasgow office and is there to deal with all catering and event enquiries within the Trades Hall.
Elaine brings to Grooms her previous Management experience in the Event Catering Industry and this, together with her time as Manager of a Best Western Hotel means she can offer a complete understanding of your requirements.
